Established in 1923, LGRx is owned by Tim Langford - a third generation pharmacist and dedicated, seasoned professional. Currently LGRx operates 4 pharmacies in Ontario. As an independent pharmacy organization, we simply believe that good patient care is good business.

Langford Legacy
The Langford Group Rx has deep roots in pharmacy history. It's story begins with Young Wilfred Charles Langford, who established Langford Pharmacy in 1923 in the heart of Waterdown's Victorian Village. The pharmacy was known for delivering top-notch healthcare services to area residents.
This business was passed from father to son and is now a third-generation operation. First, Tom Langford, Wilf's son, joined the team and later purchased the business in 1961. Tim Langford then took over from Tom, his father, in 1989.
It’s the care and compassion that accompanied the delivery of health care that gave the longstanding Waterdown pharmacy its edge.
Langford Pharmacies Continue On
While the original Langford Pharmacy in Waterdown was sold after 89 wonderful years in business, the pharmacy's legacy lives on through the work of Tim & his team. Enjoying the many communities they serve, LGRx currently operates 4 pharmacies.
In 2008, Tim became the owner of Brant Arts IDA Pharmacy in Burlington. This location acts as a central hub and is where the head office for LGRx can be found (second floor).
Four pharmacies were added to the group in 2016 which included Brantford's Northview Remedy'sRx and Northern Remedy'sRx pharmacies in Espanola, Belleville and Sudbury. The pharmacy group grew to operating a total of seven locations in 2018 with the addition of Health Centre Pharmacy & Elmdale Medical Pharmacy in St. Thomas. Recently in 2023, Remedy'sRx Espanola, Belleville/Quinte & New Sudbury Clinic were sold.
